Now What?

We have discussed why God allows you to go through things in life that at times can be painful and difficult resulting in the realization you are not in control as much as you think you are. That God is there for you if you truly look to Him for help.

Some of you may be reading this saying that is fine and dandy but I have no idea how to reach out to Him. And if I did, why would He be willing to even listen to me? I do not know all the prayers I have heard some people recite. I do not even own a Bible much less know what it says. So how am I supposed to know what to do?

At this point you need to just forget all the stuff you have heard or read depicting what some may have said is the perfect prescription to connect with God. Some of those ideas may have good intentions but if you do not understand what is being said or by reading or listening to these things they tear you down instead of lifting you up creating a desire in you to search for God and ultimately the answers to what you are facing, then what good are these remedies?

Remember that God is the perfect Father so because He is, no matter what you have done in life, He is there for you. Feeling guilty for the things you have done is the start to finding the answers you are looking for. You make your own choices in life, but He is always there when you want Him.

The best thing to do is for you take a hard and honest look at your life. In doing so you should realize that you made some bad choices in the past some of which have resulted in what you are dealing with now. Maybe it is spending money as if there was an endless supply because of the great job you think you will always have. Or acting on personal desires without considering the consequences of your actions. No matter what it may be, if you are feeling guilty and troubled then it was something that most likely should not have taken place and you have no idea what you can do to remedy the issue.

The key word is "you". By yourself "you" have very little power in overcoming most of life's challenges when acting on your own. Nor do "you" have any idea what your future is or how what actions you take now can affect your future. There is only one person that does and when you work with Him, instead of on your own, positive changes can and will take place in your life. Who is that person as if you did not already know? It is God and as we have said earlier He is right there, no matter what the circumstances are ready and willing to work with you. All you have to do is reach out and ask for His help.

There are no special prayers you have to know. No special place you have to go visit. No person on this earth you have to confess to and obtain his absolution. If you need God's help, then right where you are and in your own words, simply and from your heart ask Him for His help. He already knows you better than you know yourself but He is waiting for you to make the first move. It is a team effort, God and you. The perfect team that is always victorious when God is in control and you are always open and honest with Him and are willing to follow His instructions.

Ready for answers? Then be honest with yourself realizing you have no idea what to do and then sincerely reach out to God and ask Him to help you. It is so simple to discover a life that Christ can be in the center of. He is waiting on you to ask! Once you have asked for His help then trust Him to respond according to what He knows is best for you. And please do not immediately start limiting God and what He will do for you. As we said earlier the only "limit" God has are the limits you invent within your own mind.
